Geochang's symbol mark embodies the spirit of Geochang-gun's aim to become the center of transportation, education, culture and finance in the era of local autonomy and globalization and also to become an urban agriculture county of the 21st century that have harmonious environment and development.

The red color represent Geochang's special regional product, apple and the green represents Geochang's plains and the blue symbolizes the county's clean water. The two white stripes symbolizes the significance of Geochang's southern inland location in the country and the county's advantageous network of road in all directions.

Geochang-gun flag mark shows its energy to grow as the 21st century urban type farm village where development and environment are pursued in balance as the center of transportation, education, culture and finance in line with the globalization and local government trend.

The red part in the upper area symbolizes the apple, main specialty of Geochang-gun; the green part in the lower area expresses wide green field; the blue color in the center, clean area with clean water. 2 white lines symbolizes that it is the strategic point of transportation stretching in all directions, located at the center of southern continent of Korean peninsular.
