Location
Geochang County is situated at the northwestern edge of Gyeongsangnam-do, bordering Gyeongsangbuk-do and Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province. It shares borders with five cities and counties, namely Gimcheon, Muju, Hapcheon, Sancheong and Hamyang.
