Geochang Forest Leisure Sports Park was developed by rehabilitating the original road that was going to be decommissioned once a tunnel was opened to address the issues of vehicle traffic on steep and winding roads. Utilizing the unique topography, the decommissioned road and its site were transformed into a park and the Baekdudaegan Ecological Education Center, a natural recreation forest and Speed Extreme Town were established in the park.

The park offers a wide range of activities for visitors of all ages, such as tree-top experiences, a rollercoaster-like zip coaster, rope climbing and rope adventure. It also has six A-shaped accommodation buildings built with domestic wood.

The Baekdudaegan Ecological Education Center is equipped with a history room, ecology room and video room. It also offers an outdoor education space, a wine tunnel, rest areas for hikers and healing programs. Visitors can experience rural tourism programs linked with with local mountain villages and try cultivating omija (Schisandra) and wild ginseng, as well as farmstay programs. The park also offers various themed walking programs. MTB trails, mountain sports and forest ecology tours.
